BCIF is a platform of intellectuals, professionals, academics, activists, students and concerned citizens working for social justice, equal opportunity and equitable representation of socially and educationally Backward Classes. It seeks to bring together knowledge, data, Constitutional values and collective action to address the social, educational, economic and political challenges facing Backward Classes.

Backward Classes account for 130 castes and, per the official 2024 caste census, 56.36% of Telangana's population — close to 2.06 crore people — making them the state's largest social group. Yet BCs continue to have little say in decision-making, no proportional share in governance, and remain economically underserved, a historic injustice that has deepened over generations. BCIF (Regd. No. 16/2025) was formed on 30 July 2024 to address this gap: to bring the many BC organisations already working across the state onto one platform, give them a shared ideological and strategic direction, and work, intellectually and politically, towards genuine BC representation. It is not a single organisation but a forum — a hub for ideas, a platform for BC ideology, and a school of political awareness.

    • The principles of natural justice are strictly followed.
  2. 8
